This silver coloured layer you normally only find on high performance motorbikes makes the surface of the shaft exceedingly smooth and therefore creates a much better functioning shock absorber. Another advantage is that the shaft is now more powerful due to this treatment and it is consequently more resistant to heavy impacts. The Ti-Ni shock shafts can be found in pairs of short or long shafts as they are ideal for the RCC shock absorbers.
