The Viper 989E 4wd EP produced by Serpent in 1/8 scale Touring Car series AWD drivetrain assembly kit, is classified in R/C Models - On-Road - Touring Cars - Electric Powered

Power delivery begins utilizing the batteries. We made space for serious power, 4S, 6S or maybe more. There's an abundance of area for them, still they're suprisingly low inside car.
The batteries are mounted on a 2.5mm dense carbon plate. They may be mounted in 3 various jobs, changing the CG to alter the cars behaviour
The elevated speedo mounting dish offers stiffness the battery pack dishes and creates also room for oversized speedos. Also 1-5 scale speedos fit, a tremendously popular option into the dragster rushing scene
The topdeck is creating enough stiffness for the whole framework and holds the receiver, steering-servo and belt tensioner
We also took care of this motor. We created the space for a huge selection of engine sizes.
Even long custom made engines have enough room
To avoid unwelcome torsional flex, we created a “power box” across the motor, making this part of the chassis extremely stiff. To achieve this, the motor mounting dish is attached to the bearing-block of the spur gear shaft, towards the chassis and to the mounting bracket regarding the topdeck
Power is then transmitted further with unbreakable, module 1 metal gears
Further down we changed to a super wide, 10mm rear belt. The power then undergoes the solid back axle which carries a n aluminium pulley as well
For the dragster enthusiasts we additionally provide a wheelie club as an option.

Chassis
Symmetrical chassis plate optimised flex and
torsion, in 7075 T6 aluminium, anodised and
laser etched. Chamfered sides for more
ground approval whenever cornering and
countersunk holes.
Low big bore shocks
Coated threaded shock bodies in quality
aluminium. Supersmooth x-ring / machined
bushing package, to steer and seal the spring-
metal piston rods. Precision machined pistons

Shocktower front side & back
The 3mm carbon fibre front and back shocktower
with 2 jobs the front and 3 roles
the rear for upper shock mounting.
Steering obstructs
Very strong composite steering obstructs with 2
Ackermann positions, L and R utilize the same .
The steering obstructs feature inserts, which
allow to improve the kingpin inclination to a
leading or trailing position. The steering
blocks also enable utilization of the optional carbon
fibre aero disks become installed on the cheap flex
and a far more direct steering feel.
Uprights
Durable medium kind composite uprights, which
seat the wheel-axles bearings. The upright
offers the mounting position the steel
camber-rod with L/R threading. Roll centre
changes could be made over the upright with
shims. The upright can be installed aided by the
optional carbon fiber aero disks for lots more rear
grip and right line stability.
Wheel axles and driveshaft
The durable spring steel wheel axles combined
with springtime steel driveshafts bring the ability

Pullies
