This 59ml bottle of silicone shock fluid is an RC-scale accessory intended to alter damping characteristics inside model shock absorbers. The 700cSt viscosity is used to increase damping force and slow rebound compared with lighter oils, helping to stabilise chassis movement over bumps and during direction changes.
When replacing oil in shock cartridges, drain the old fluid fully and refill following the shock manufacturer’s recommended fill level. Cycle the shock shafts repeatedly to purge trapped air and allow bubbles to escape before final assembly. Check piston travel and seal condition as part of the service to ensure consistent damping performance.
In tuning, 700cSt works well where additional mid-to-high damping is required — for reducing pitch on braking runs or controlling roll on high-speed corners. Combine oil changes with spring and shock position adjustments to achieve the intended handling balance for your RC setup.
