This is an RC-scale stainless steel center gear box bottom protector designed for AXIAL 4WD SCX24 applications, sold as an aftermarket part by GPM SCX24332X. The plate covers the lower face of the center gearbox to reduce ingress of sand and rocks and to absorb minor impacts during trail or off-road use.

Key material and fitment notes: the protector is made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance when exposed to air and moisture, and it is shaped to sit under the front and rear sections of the gearbox without interfering with adjacent components. The design includes positioning holes aligned with the upper main-shaft screw locations so the main shaft can be installed or removed without detaching the protector.

Installation and tuning role: fit the plate using the supplied fasteners, check clearance around the main shaft and suspension travel, and verify that the protector does not contact drivetrain moving parts under full compression. As a low-mass, low-profile shield it helps preserve gearbox internals from abrasive material while keeping added complexity minimal.
