This aluminium front and rear gear box component set is an RC-scale replacement designed for Axial RR10 Bomber platforms and Wraith models. It replaces stock plastic components with machined aluminium parts to improve dimensional stability and wear resistance in the gearbox assemblies used on scale trail and crawling builds.

Compatibility is focused on RR10 Bomber and Wraith chassis that use the AX31317 style gearbox layout. Before installation confirm your chassis uses the same gearbox mounting points and gear stack orientation as these models to avoid fitment issues.

Installation notes: remove the wheel hubs and driveshafts, open the gearbox cover, and transfer internal gears and bearings into the aluminium housings following the original orientation. Check bearing fit and gear mesh clearance after assembly, adjust shims or washers if required, and torque fasteners to match your chassis hardware recommendations. Use thread locker on any screws that run into alloy if you expect heavy vibration.

Tuning role: switching to aluminium gearbox components changes stiffness and heat characteristics compared with plastic. Expect reduced flex under load which helps maintain consistent gear mesh for precise drivetrain response, but pay attention to bearing seating and lubrication since harder housings can transfer more vibration to internal gears.
