This aluminium pair of wheel hex adapters increases track width by 23mm to improve lateral stability on RC crawlers. The adapters are an RC-scale accessory designed to fit wheels that have a 4mm centre hole and wheel shafts with a 4mm threaded section, allowing the same hex set to be used with any wheel and axle that match those dimensions.
The assembly uses an O-ring on one face and a spring-steel retaining ring with washers plus a stainless steel screw on the other face to clamp the hex securely. A Delrin collar is inserted inside the hex to keep the adapter seated and prevent rotation of the wheel relative to the hex under traction, which is useful on technical crawling sections where wheel grip and precise control matter.
Because the adapters simply widen the wheel stance, they are intended for tuning track width and handling balance on RC-scale crawlers; verify shaft and wheel hole dimensions before use to ensure fitment. Regular inspection of the retaining rings and screws is recommended after heavy crawling runs to maintain secure retention.
