This pair of aluminium wheel hex adapters provides a 27mm total width to increase track width and improve lateral stability on scale crawlers and trail rigs. Designed for RC-scale use with AXIAL Racing SCX10 II, the adapters let you run wider wheel spacing without changing hubs or axle geometry.
Each adapter accepts wheels with a 5mm centre hole and mounts onto a 4mm threaded wheel shaft, so compatibility depends on matching those measurements. Internally the hex assembly includes a Delrin collar to locate the hex, helping prevent axial slop and keeping the wheel and tyre from slipping on the shaft under high traction loads common in crawling sections.
Hardware on the adapters is arranged to lock the hex reliably: one side features an O-ring for preload and sealing, the other side uses a spring-steel retaining ring, spring with washers, and a stainless steel screw to clamp components together. These parts let you fine-tune retention so the wheel is held tight without binding the bearing surfaces.
In practice this accessory is used to widen wheel stance for improved cornering and stability on rock gardens and technical trails, and to reduce unwanted wheel rotation when one side loses traction. Installation is mechanical and intended for hobby-level maintenance with standard hex drivers and basic hand tools.
