This is an RC-scale pendulum-style wheel knuckle axle weight designed for crawling platforms, supplied as an aftermarket upgrade produced by GPM for AXIAL SCX10 models. The assembly uses a brass main weight with an alloy lid and a set of removable stainless steel rolling beads so you can tune downward force on each wheel to improve grip during low-speed rock crawling and when recovering from soft or uneven terrain.
The pendulum design positions mass low and outward at the wheel knuckle, maintaining a consistent downward force as the suspension articulates. Stainless steel beads are used as rolling elements inside the weight carrier, each bead weighing about 4g and removable to adjust total wheel mass. The stainless construction is chosen for corrosion resistance where wet and muddy running is common.
Key installation points and limits: the units mount to the outer face of front and rear knuckles, they require wheels with an inner diameter of 45mm and wheel hub thread holes of 5mm, and the kit expands the effective hex width using a 21mm hex adapter for wider wheel setups. Per-piece assembled weight is listed as 66–86 grams when fitted with eight beads, and at minimum it is recommended to retain at least three beads for predictable performance.
Use this pendulum weight to add measurable low-end traction and wheel stability on technical courses, pay attention to wheel inner diameter and hub thread requirements before fitting, and adjust the number of stainless beads to balance weight gain against rotational inertia for your setup.
