Wheel hex adapters for SCX10 II

This pair of aluminium wheel hex adapters increases effective axle width by 25mm to widen the track on scale Axial SCX10 II crawlers, improving lateral stability on technical terrain. They are an RC-scale accessory designed for use with 4mm threaded wheel shafts and wheels that accept a 4mm hub hole.

The adapter assembly features an internal Delrin collar to centre the wheel, an O-ring on one side and a spring-steel retaining ring with springs and washers on the other to prevent axial play. A stainless steel screw secures the stack and holds the hex in place so the wheel does not rotate independently of the adapter under heavy traction conditions typical in rock crawling.

Fit and tuning notes: verify your wheel bore and shaft thread sizes before fitting, hand-check for runout after installation, and confirm clearance to suspension and bodywork when the wider track is fitted. Widening track helps roll stability but can increase load on wheel bearings and linkages, so inspect bearing fit and steering geometry after installation.
