This is an RC-scale gearbox belt drive replacement designed and produced by GPM for use with Axial platforms. The assembly combines aluminum 6061-T6 components with rubber belt elements to reduce vibration and gearbox noise compared with conventional metal-only gear trains. The set is intended as a quieter, lower-friction option for trail and rock crawler models where smooth, low-noise operation is the priority.
Key considerations: the belt drive reduces transmitted peak torque compared with a direct metal gear mesh, so vehicles with very high power demands may not get the same load capacity as a full gear drive. To ensure fitment, confirm your motor shaft inner diameter is 3.175 before installing, and note the large gear in this kit follows a common RC specification rather than a model-unique spline.
Installation overview: install the original gearbox metal plate in its location, place the selected friction disc into the matching pulley groove, seat the bearing centrally, and reinstall the metal plate, anti-skid spring and nut. Position the two pulley gears close enough to fit the belt, then set final spacing to achieve correct belt tension. Verify secure seating of set screws and that the belt runs true without side loading.
