This is a 1/700 scale full-hull plastic model kit representing the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Zuiho as configured in 1944, issued within Fujimi's full hull ship series.
Zuiho was a small carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy that served during World War II. Converted from earlier hull types into a light carrier, she carried a reduced air group and operated in convoy escort and fleet support roles. By 1944 Zuiho had received wartime modifications to armament and flight-deck arrangements reflecting changing carrier doctrine and operational requirements in the Pacific.
The kit reproduces the vessel's external hull lines and deck arrangement at the stated year. Photo-etched parts are provided to refine deck fittings and railings, and the full-hull format supports waterline or full-hull display. Moulding includes fine surface details on the flight deck and hull plating intended to match reference photos. Builders should allow for separate painting and weathering to reflect 1944 finish and wear.
A full-hull representation of Zuiho with photo-etched enhancements suitable for modelers focused on historical accuracy and display realism.
