This is a 1/700 scale full-hull plastic model kit representing the Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft battleship Ise, issued as a special edition in the full-hull series.

The real Ise was one of two Ise-class battleships constructed in the World War I era for the Imperial Japanese Navy. In the later stages of World War II she underwent a reconstruction that added a flight deck aft to operate floatplanes, producing a hybrid battleship/aircraft carrier configuration.
