This tie rod and drag link set replaces factory plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for RC-scale use only. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the parts reduce flex at the steering linkage and provide a firmer connection between steering knuckles and the servo output. The set is compact and light, designed to fit within the scale constraints of 1/30 rock crawlers while offering improved longevity during frequent trail runs.
The kit focuses on steering stability and serviceability: threaded rod ends accept the included pivot balls for easy adjustment of toe and steering throw. Keep in mind alignment and servo centering should be checked after installation to retain neutral steering geometry.
Before installing, compare the supplied pivot balls and screw sizes with the stock parts to confirm match. Thread engagement should be checked to avoid stripping the small-scale threads; tighten to a firm feel but avoid excessive torque. After fitting, re-check steering endplay and servo centering, and trim or re-cut rod ends if necessary to remove binding.
Inspect connection points regularly for thread wear and pivot-ball play. Light lubrication on the pivot balls helps reduce metal-on-metal noise; avoid heavy greases that attract dust. If roll or steering slop appears, verify thread length and replace worn pivot balls—these are standard micro RC components and commonly available from hobby part suppliers.
