The Chinese variation is recognized as the kind 033 ROMEO. A total of 84 Type 033 submarines were integrated China from 1962 to 1984, plus a few exported to other countries.

��� �The SH-5 (Shuishang Hongzha-5, or ShuiHong-5) may be the amphibious aircraft developed by Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation (HAMC) in the 1980s. As the designation suggests, the aircraft had been originally designed for anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare, but insufficient suitable weapons resulted in only four examples being designed for maritime patrol and surveillance role.
