Fin heatsink for HPI Savage series

This fin-style engine heatsink is an RC-scale accessory designed to fit HPI Savage 21, Savage 25 and Savage X 13 models. The gold finish and fin geometry increase the exposed surface area around the engine head to assist heat dispersion during running. The part’s role is to help stabilise operating temperature under typical off-road and bashing conditions without altering engine internals.

Compatibility is limited to the listed HPI Savage variants that use the same engine-head profile. Before fitting, check the head shape and clearances under your body shell and around the exhaust and carburettor; physical interference is the most common fit issue with head-mounted accessories. This heatsink mounts using the engine-head’s existing fastener locations and is intended as a bolt-on external cooling aid for RC nitro powerplants.

Installation notes: fit the heatsink directly onto the engine head, align the fins for airflow, and reuse the head screws or studs where applicable. Confirm there is no contact with the muffler or bodywork when the engine is at full travel, and verify glow plug access after installation. After the first runs, recheck fastener torque and clearance as thermal cycling can change seating.

Tuning and operational role: the heatsink provides passive cooling and does not change engine timing, porting, or fuel requirements. Use a temperature probe or on-track observations to assess its effect and adjust your cooling strategy—body venting and muffler routing remain important. Expect incremental temperature moderation rather than large shifts; treat the heatsink as part of an overall thermal management approach.
