This HUDY sanding drum is an RC-scale accessory intended for use with tire truer setups to shape and finish rubber or foam racing tyres. The P120 grain provides a medium removal rate that balances material removal and surface refinement for race-day prepping.

Fitment is generic to tire truer mandrels and similar holding systems used in RC workshops, so confirm your truer’s mounting method before use. Installation is straightforward: mount the drum onto the truer’s shaft or adapter and secure it using your truer’s normal retainer or collet.

In setup and tuning work the P120 sanding drum is used to remove small irregularities, shape the tread profile, and smooth bead edges so tyre behaviour becomes more predictable on track. Replace the sanding drum when the abrasive surface becomes glazed or uneven to maintain consistent trimming results.
