The Kfir is an all-weather multirole combat aircraft produced by the Israel Aircraft Industries. It was primarily in line with the French Dassault Mirage III / 5 airframe, but it adopted a few improvements whilst the Israeli-built version of the powerful and reliable General Electrical J79 turbojet engine or a whole brand new pair of avionic gear. Kfir programme was originated to build up a more effective version of the IAI Nesher. The Kfir entered in service in 1975 and had been assigned to fighter squadrons. At that time, some updated variations arrived on the scene whilst the Kfir C7 charcterised by a robust engine, better avionics and inflight refuelling ability. However, aided by the introduction associated with the brand new F-15, the reliable and robust Kfir changed its primary role and it ended up being accustomed perform hit missions. It is armed with two 30 mm. firearms and it can load several kinds of missiles, bombs and rocket launchers.
