The twin-engine supersonic multirole fighter F/A-18 Hornet was developed to supply an extraordinary freedom and flexibility. It can perform atmosphere superiority, ground assault, close support and reconnaissance duties. As a result of its freedom, the F/A-18 was adopted by several Air Forces becoming another commercial success. It is used, in its various designs, by US Navy, US Marine Corps, Australian, Canadian, Spanish and Swiss Air Forces.
