The United states Bantam business, Willys Overland, and Ford engine Co. competed with every other.Willys model had been selected, which, after a short run of 1500 cars, went into mass production at the start of 1941 and reached an overall total output of 640.000 devices out of which 277.000 pieces had been produced by Ford under a licensing agreement. This shows that the Jeep ended up being probably the most widely produced light automobile of this war industry during World War II.
