MINI-Z MR-04 RWD Readyset Overview

This Kyosho readyset is an RC-scale MINI-Z package built on the MR-04 RWD chassis and supplied as a fully assembled, display-finished model; it is intended for indoor electric RC driving and for users who want a ready-to-run base that supports progressive tuning. The kit includes the Syncro KT-531P pistol-grip transmitter and a 130-class brushed motor as standard, so initial setup requires only batteries before driving.

The MR-04 chassis brings a lower centre of gravity and revised steering geometry compared with its MR-03 predecessor, designed to deliver more linear steering response and reduced rotational resistance through updated knuckles and 3 mm inner-diameter ball bearings. The unit is equipped with a geared differential for predictable cornering and full ball bearing fitment on key axles to minimise drivetrain drag.

Compatibility is focused on the MINI-Z racer body range; the included pre-painted JAGUAR XJR-14 No.4 LM 1991 body is display-finished and mounted ready to use. Note that the separately sold LED light unit set MZW429R cannot be installed on this specific Jaguar body. For control refinement, an optional gyro (MZW711) can be fitted to the chassis and its sensitivity adjusted via the chassis volume control.

Basic installation and running: install 4 x AAA alkaline batteries into the chassis and install 4 x AAA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries into the Syncro KT-531P transmitter, set neutral trims and dual-rate steering as needed, and the vehicle will run in training mode by default for reduced speed. The platform accepts a wide range of MINI-Z optional parts for tuning, including alternative pinion gears, shock options, and chassis upgrade items to suit handling preferences.
