The MR-04EVO2 represents a major revision of the Mini-Z MR series introduced at the end of 2023, its first full model change in 14 years while retaining core MR-03 layout principles. The platform integrates a sensored brushless motor, a redesigned front suspension geometry, lower battery placement for a reduced center of gravity, and updated high-speed radio communication support. These changes aim to raise handling precision and stability for circuit-oriented Mini-Z competition.

As a chassis set, this item focuses on mechanical and electronic upgrades rather than body styling. Key hardware changes include the high-rigidity Front Suspension Arm 2.0, kingpin-integrated front knuckles for improved camber stability, and 3mm inner-diameter ball bearings throughout to reduce rotational resistance. Battery mounting is lowered compared with previous MR-03 layouts to improve cornering stability and control. The ball differential is supplied as standard to balance slip and traction during cornering. Gyro and some radio components are not included, allowing users to select equipment that matches class rules or personal tuning preferences. Speed control and motor RPM settings are supported through the I.C.S. Setting Manager to meet Mini-Z Cup rules effective 2025.
