Short setting springs for Mini-Z MB-010

The Kyosho MBW012S Setting Spring Set (Short) is a short-length spring kit designed for Mini-Z MB-010 style shocks, supplied in multiple color-coded rates to let builders fine-tune handling without changing shock bodies.

This set uses the common Mini-Z short spring form factor and offers a range of progressive stiffness through color codes: Purple (super soft), Green (soft), Silver (medium), Gold (hard). The kit standard typically ships with the super soft option fitted.

Installation is straightforward: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, slide the chosen short spring onto the shock shaft, then reassemble. Short springs change ride height and initial spring preload compared with full-length springs, so recheck rebound and droop after swapping springs.

For tuning, use the softer colors to increase traction on low-grip layouts and the firmer colors to reduce body roll for higher-speed sections. Make single-step changes and test on a consistent surface to evaluate handling differences.
