This pinion is an RC-scale replacement part designed for the Mugen MRX-5 line, offered in a 16T tooth count. It is produced from 7075-T6 aluminium with a hard-coated surface to improve wear resistance while keeping mass low, intended for use on the clutch/pinion stage of competition and hobby 1/8 scale cars.

Installation notes: fit the gear onto the clutch pinion shaft following your chassis service routine, set mesh to the manufacturer’s recommended clearance and verify free rotation of the motor and spur gear before running. Use care with clutch preload and test engagement after any gear change to avoid undue wear on the spur gear or clutch components.

Tuning role: changing the pinion tooth count alters final drive and engine/brake response on nitro or electric clutch-driven setups; a 16T option gives one discrete ratio for fine-tuning acceleration versus top speed when combined with available spur gears on MRX-5 cars.
