First-stage pinion for MRX-5

This Arrowmax AM-MRX5-H0758 1st gear is an RC-scale pinion designed for use with the Mugen MRX-5 clutch/pinion assembly. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and given a hard surface treatment, the gear aims to offer a balance of reduced mass and wear resistance without altering the original gear interface. Available tooth counts include 16T, 17T, 18T, 19T, 20T and 21T to allow tuning of acceleration and top-speed characteristics within the MRX-5 drivetrain.

Installation follows standard pinion replacement practice on the MRX-5: remove the stock 1st gear from the clutch bell, fit the Arrowmax gear onto the clutch/pinion hub, and verify correct mesh with the spur gear and free rotation through the gearbox. Small mesh adjustments and a quick run to check temperature and noise are recommended before extended use.

In tuning terms, changing the 1st gear tooth count adjusts the effective final drive for first-stage engagement; lower tooth counts favor quicker spool-up while higher counts slightly raise first-stage gearing. Use the supplied tooth range to fine-tune launch and low-speed response on the MRX-5 platform.
