Additionally, it comes with newly required bearings to ensure smooth operation.
Precision-Engineered Chassis Plate
The 966 chassis plate is crafted from American aerospace-grade aluminum 7075 T6, known for its strength and lightweight properties. Precision CNC machining ensures chamfered edges to prevent interference during cornering. The chassis features countersunk holes for allen screws, a cooling pocket beneath the engine, and designated areas for engine-mount screws and rear end brackets. It also accommodates an optional brass front plate or carbon fiber insert for added stiffness.
Advanced Brake System
The upgrade includes a low-mounted brake assembly designed for a lower center of gravity (LCG). The spring-loaded brake plates slide on polished steel shafts, ensuring a smooth braking action. The assembly uses a ball-raced, hard-anodized brake-cam that applies even pressure through larger pins seated in the aluminum bracket.
Efficient 2-Speed Shaft Brackets
CNC-machined anodized aluminum brackets provide perfect bearing seating for the 2-speed shaft. These brackets support the ball-raced rear anti-roll bar and are compatible with carbon fiber side brackets, enhancing rigidity and performance.
Durable Rear Axle Supports
Anodized and CNC-machined aluminum rear axle supports offer improved rigidity and easy maintenance. The design allows for simple belt tensioning and quick access to the rear shaft, pulley, and belt. Eccentric inserts provide three positions for belt tensioning, optimizing performance.
Robust Suspension Brackets
The anodized, CNC-machined aluminum suspension brackets securely hold lower rear pivot pins. The kit also includes 4mm carbon fiber suspension brackets and a rear shock tower with four shock-angle positions for enhanced tuning capabilities.
