It is a 1/12 scale plastic assembly kit reproducing the Antena 3 Yamaha YZR500 Team D'Antin 2002, intended as a display-scale replica for detailed scale work.
The real YZR500 lineage traces Yamaha two-stroke 500cc Grand Prix racers developed for top-class road racing. In 2002 the class saw the introduction of 4-stroke 990cc machines alongside existing two-stroke entries; Yamaha continued to campaign the compact V4 two-stroke YZR500 with large full cowlings and twin exhausts. Norifumi Abe raced the Antena 3 Yamaha d'Antin entry that year, riding a machine valued for its light weight and cornering agility against larger four-stroke opponents.
The kit reproduces the racing bodywork, rear exhaust arrangement and engine outline associated with the YZR500. Major panels such as the seat and several cowlings are designed to be removable for painting and detailing. The decal sheet supplies race numbers as indicated in the original release. Assembly follows conventional plastic model practices and allows for painting and weathering to match reference photos.
A straightforward scale reproduction focused on external form and race livery, suitable for modelers who prioritize display accuracy and detailed finishing.
