This is a 1/12 scale assembly kit reproducing the Yamaha YZR-M1 50th Anniversary U.S. Inter-Coloring Edition 46, positioned as a detailed display model for experienced builders.
The real Yamaha YZR-M1 is a factory racing motorcycle developed for four-stroke competition in the early 2000s. By 2005 the machine ran a 990cc inline-four four-stroke engine with changes to fuel tank placement and rear suspension mounting to improve mass centralization. The 2005 machines also received brake and electronic control refinements. The U.S. Inter-Coloring livery echoes earlier Yamaha color schemes and was used on the team bikes during the 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.
As a model, the kit represents the 2005 specification YZR-M1 in the U.S. Inter-Coloring yellow and black finish. The kit data specify a finished length of 172mm and width of 56mm. The design allows cowlings to be removed after assembly so internal detail can be displayed. The compact inline-four engine, twin-tube delta frame and rear suspension layout are reproduced, and the kit includes synthetic rubber tires and top-quality Cartograf decals for the livery.
A scale-accurate representation of the 2005 YZR-M1 U.S. Inter-Coloring livery, suitable for modelers seeking a display-quality motorcycle with removable bodywork and detailed mechanical reproduction.
