This is a 1/12 scale assembly plastic model kit reproducing the 2009 Fiat Yamaha YZR-M1 racing motorcycle, positioned as a detailed display kit for experienced model builders and collectors.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 used in 2009 was an evolution of the preceding model, reworked to address tire behavior and overall handling. Its 800cc inline four-cylinder engine and revised chassis delivered a lower center of gravity, reduced fuel consumption and improved driveability for that season. Riders achieved consistent podium finishes through a balance of engine output and chassis setup tailored to the spec tires in use that year.
The kit reproduces key mechanical elements of the 2009 race bike, including the inline four-cylinder engine architecture and front and rear suspension components. Side cowlings and the seat assembly are attached with small screws to allow removal, and the tank cover can be detached to reveal internal detail. Front and rear slick tires are supplied in solid rubber with Bridgestone markings. Decals are provided to depict the No.46 and No.99 liveries. A riding figure representing a cornering posture is available separately.
A detailed 1/12 assembly kit intended for display-oriented builds; the kit emphasizes mechanical accuracy and removable bodywork for selective detailing.
