In 2004, the Nissan racing team, NISMO, introduced the 350Z sports coupe to the Japan GT Championships (JGTC), succeeding over a decade of competition with the Nissan GT-R. The Xanavi Nismo Z, equipped with a formidable 2987cc V6 twin-turbo engine, was piloted by Satoshi Motoyama and Richard Lyons. It clinched victories in both Round 1 and Round 6, ultimately securing the driver and team titles for 2004.

About the Model

This Tamiya 1/24 scale model is a meticulous replica of the Xanavi Nismo Z that dominated the 2004 JGTC. Measuring 195mm in length and 84mm in width, it intricately replicates the car's distinctive features, such as its widened fenders and elongated front and rear sections. The model includes nylon meshing for the front air intake, adding realistic texture, while the die-cast under panel offers substantial weight and comes pre-coated in black for ease of assembly. Additional details include metal transfers for mirrors and the Nissan emblem, along with pad-printed tire markings. A display base with a nameplate is included for showcasing.
