The group Lotus 99T Honda originated to compete within the 1987 F1 season. It featured a carbon-fiber monocoque-chassis, computer-controlled Active suspension system system, and a robust Honda 1.5-liter turbocharged V6 motor that has been stated to own an output of over 1,000hp. With Ayrton Senna plus the very first Japanese F1 motorist Satoru Nakajima on wheel, the 99T Honda demonstrated great potential and took wins at Monaco and Detroit GPs.
