This is a 1/12 scale finished parts panel produced as a display item within the Masterwork Collection, presenting individual components from the Yamaha YZR-M1 Valencia.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 used in the 2005 World Championship season was a development of Yamaha's four-stroke racing programme. The series of changes for 2005 included a reinforced frame, revised suspension and brake control systems, and an inline four-cylinder 990cc engine. The engine head layout was revised from a five-valve form to a four-valve-per-cylinder arrangement to improve top-end performance and efficiency. The Valencia machine was finished in a distinctive white and red block livery for that event.
As a finished parts panel, the product displays selected components laid out for viewing rather than as a buildable kit. Each panel includes an aluminum nameplate and a unique serial number, with components arranged to show the external shapes and surface details of the machine. The panel is intended for display and reference, providing a way to study part shapes and finish without handling a full assembled model.
A purpose-built display panel that preserves the visual layout of selected components from the Yamaha YZR-M1 Valencia, useful as a reference piece for model builders and collectors.
