1989 Le Mans Contender
To win the 1989 Le Mans twenty four hours Endurance Race, Nissan created the R89C Group C battle car. It featured a monocoque framework made from carbon composite material and was running on a 3.5-liter twin turbo DOHC V8 motor which produced 800hp. The front-mounted radiator had been enclosed in the sleek nose area and smooth curves of the car's distinctive body extended to your cockpit and end areas. Nissan entered three among these vehicles in the 1989 Le Mans, where in fact the No.24 vehicle in particular had been one of the front-runners early on, but all three had been ultimately forced to retire due to technical problems.
