Tamiya 26501 - 1/48 Tiger I Early Production Finished Model

This is a fully assembled, pre-painted 1/48 scale finished model representing an early production Tiger I, positioned as a display-oriented piece within Tamiya's 1/48 military collection.

The Tiger I was a German heavy tank introduced in 1942, developed to provide superior firepower and protection on the battlefield. Fitted with the 88 mm KwK 36 gun and heavy frontal armor, it saw service on the Eastern, Western, Italian and North African fronts. Early production examples, built during late 1942 to mid 1943, are identifiable by features such as a tall, cylindrical commander's cupola and turret pistol ports.

The model is supplied fully assembled and professionally painted with pre-applied markings reproducing tank No.213 of sPzAbt 502 (Russia, Summer 1944). Distinctive details of the early production Tiger I are represented, and the lower hull is cast metal to increase weight and improve stance.
