As Britain struggled to produce tanks effective at equaling the superior German Panzers, your choice was built to convert current shares of M4 Sherman tanks, delivered to the UK as part of the Lend-Lease Act. The so-called Sherman Firefly featured a long-barreled 17 pdr. anti-tank weapon, that has been alot more effective compared to original 75mm gun, capable of penetrating a Tiger I's front armor at over 1,000 meters using regular ammo. The majority of Fireflies were adjusted from M4A4 tanks, designated Sherman V by the British, while some were made utilizing the earlier in the day M4, or Sherman I in Uk usage. Cars rearmed with a 17 pdr. weapon received the suffix C, using the resulting devices being Sherman VC and Sherman IC.
