In regards to the U.S. M2A2 IFV

The U.S. Army's M2/M3 Bradley battling Vehicles had been originally developed during the '70's, to meet a U.S. Army dependence on an agile armored personnel automobile that may keep pace aided by the M1 Abrams tank. The F.M.C. Corporation, located in Ca, U.S.A., produced the M2/3 Bradley series, and came across or exceeded the Army's interest in flexibility, firepower and team security. With continuing changes being produced in tools technology, updating of current systems is an ongoing procedure. Aimed mainly at boosting the crew's "Survivability", the M2A2's improvements were primarily attained by adding external dishes towards front side and sides associated with car. Reactive armor slabs are then included with these dishes, into the field. Kevlar liners (called "spall liners") were put on the within for the team compartment for additional protection. To deal with the increased weight but still maintain steadily its exceptional mobility, the Cummins 500 horse power turbocharged diesel engine was tuned to 600 HP, and the transmission had been regreared and strengthened. The vehicle weapons remain exactly the same, aside from an improved version of the TOW-2 missile launcher. Having experienced service for longer than a decade, the Bradley IFV's just get better.
