The M10 IIC Achilles produced by Tamiya in 1/35 scale assembly kit, is classified in Scale Models - Military Series - Tanks

This might be a Tamiya model reproduction associated with the British Achilles tank destroyer. The Achilles had been an adjustment for the M10s which Britain received through the U.S., utilizing the original 3-inch primary gun changed by the fearsome British 17 pounder. Most M10s were the M10 IIC variation, that was in relation to the late-production M10 with distinctive enlarged turret-rear counterweight. Around 1,000 were produced between Spring 1944 plus the end of WWII, the Allied forces making good use of it after the Normandy landings, profiting from the effectiveness of the weapon which permitted it to tear through Tiger I front armor.

• 1/35 scale plastic model set up kit.
• Features newly-molded components depicting the upper hull having its sloped armor, late manufacturing M10 turret counterweight, and long 17pdr weapon.
• Interior features depictions of shell racks and multi-part 17pdr weapon breech.
• includes 3 complete human body figures – gunner and loader seated within the combat compartment, and commander seated on turret advantage – plus a driver torso figure.
• Lower hull, suspension system, wheel and track components are carried over from the acclaimed Tamiya 1/35 model of the M10 that served since the Achilles’ base.
• brand new sprocket wheel components depict belated M10 elements.
• Marking options depict 93rd Anti-Tank Regiment (Italy, 1944) and 75th Anti-Tank Regiment (NW Europe) cars.
