In 1986, Mercedes-Benz circulated an activities form of the 190 series automobile with a 16-valve engine. This car later on developed to the 190 E 2.3-16, 190 E 2.5-16, 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution, and lastly the 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II.
