This 2005 German Touring Car Championship (DTM) saw an overall total of 4 brand new generation A4 DTM cars entered by works team Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline, which faced competitors Opel and Mercedes in a quest for another consecutive success. The Audi car sponsored by Siemens, a German electrical and telecommunications company, represents the start of a committed partnership between your two premium brands. Piloted by former F1 diver Allan McNish of Scotland, the Siemens Audi finished inside top ten of 5 from 11 events, with McNish placing tenth overall in the drivers positions.
