This is certainly a "BLACK EDITION" associated with TRF102 Formula One Chassis kit. All of the aluminum parts are anodized in black, whereas the original kit had been anodized within the world-famous Tamiya Blue.

The TRF102 could be the second-generation superior Formula One chassis created by Tamiya's elite developers. This iteration is a revolution! The kit features several modifications to deliver superior performance specially with plastic tire applications and outside track usage. Both the front and back of vehicle have been redesigned to completely utilize the freedom for the chassis, with all the effect of exemplary road holding and response.
Key Design Points:

the latest T-Bar design provides a progressive roll damping impact better than that provided by the spring-actuated part links regarding the TRF101. The roll point ball has been placed in because low a situation as possible, to maximize damping impact. 2 thicknesses of T-bar (1.5mm and 1.8mm) are included.

The new pitch axle provides vastly improved, independent pitch damping, letting the chassis deal way more efficiently with undulating areas.

Servo mount screws are connected closer together on reduced deck. This, in combination with the floating battery mount, permits greater phrase of lower deck flexibility, providing the feeling of greater stroke at the front of this vehicle. A new servo stiffener keeps the servo securely set up.

Slits are cut in to the lower deck to further enhance its freedom.

The roll damper has been moved nearer to the reduced deck, offering a far more compact rear and adding to the chassis' low center of gravity.
