This aftermarket rear drive shaft set is an RC-scale replacement produced for the Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 platform and supplied by GPM (CC2237RS). The parts are intended to carry torque from the gearbox to the rear wheels on scale trail and crawler rigs, described and used strictly as model components.
The kit uses hardened steel #45 for the drive components to resist bending and wear under moderate trail loads, and aims to provide smoother power transfer compared with softer stock parts. Included hardware follows the source contents and is provided to retain the shafts in standard CC02 rear assemblies.
Fitment and installation notes: this part is intended for direct replacement on compatible CC02 rear drive layouts, it installs where the stock rear drive shafts mount in the differential/axle assembly, and requires basic disassembly of the rear axle. Use appropriate hand tools, verify orientation before reassembly, and check clearance with existing suspension and wheel hexes after installation.
Practical tuning role: upgrading to hardened steel shafts helps reduce flex under increased load, which can make gear mesh and throttle response more consistent for scale off-road driving without changing gearbox ratios or electronics.
Includes basic kit contents as supplied: rear drive shaft - 2 pcs, 4.0 E-clips - 4 pcs.
