Graphite Front Shock Tower for DF-03 SSG

This graphite front shock tower is an RC-scale hop-up designed to replace the stock front shock tower on DF-03 SSG layouts, providing a stiffer mounting point for the front suspension. The part is offered by 3Racing as DF03-09/SG and uses graphite material to raise torsional stiffness at the shock top plate area without changing suspension geometry.

Fit and compatibility: the tower is intended for TAMIYA DF-03 SSG chassis variants and is commonly used on Dark Impact conversions that share the DF-03 SSG mounting pattern. It mounts to the factory shock tower points and pairs with existing shocks, springs, and top mounts so you can evaluate chassis response without replacing multiple components.

Tuning role: exchanging a flexible plastic tower for a graphite unit reduces unwanted flex at the shock tops, which sharpens steering response and stabilizes load transfer under braking and corner entry. Expect changes to front-end feel; retune shock oil, spring rates, or anti-roll settings as needed to rebalance understeer or oversteer.

Installation notes: this is a drop-in style replacement that aligns with the DF-03 SSG top-mount pattern. Use the existing hardware where possible, check thread engagement in the bulkhead and shock mounts, and inspect for clearance against the steering link and upper suspension arms after fitting.

It is designed for DF-03 SSG mounting patterns and typically fits Dark Impact variants that use the same shock tower points, install and verify fit before full track use.
No mandatory change is required, but because the tower increases front stiffness you may need to fine-tune shock oil and spring rates to restore the desired balance.
The part uses graphite for increased rigidity at the shock top area to reduce flex under load.
