Aluminium ball differential for M04M

This aluminium ball differential is an RC-scale upgrade intended for the Tamiya M04M differential location and compatible Tamiya items that use the same layout. It replaces a stock unit to offer a consistent metal housing and serviceable ball-based mechanism aimed at predictable drivetrain response during tuning sessions.

The unit is presented as a replacement hop-up rather than a complete gearbox component. Its role is to provide a tunable center of traction and torque transfer characteristics so builders can adjust handling balance without modifying suspension or motor setups.

Installation and tuning notes:

• Remove the original differential from the M04M housing following your chassis disassembly routine, inspect the mating faces for wear before fitting the aluminium unit.
• Use appropriate grease and shims as required for desired preload and smooth operation, verify rotational feel by hand before final reassembly.
