Front knuckle arm overview

This is an RC-scale front knuckle arm designed for TAMIYA Thunder Shot, Thunder Dragon, Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher chassis, produced by JAZRIDER as model JR-TFD01-BK. The part is machined from aluminum and finished in black to replace the standard plastic knuckles, offering a firmer connection point at the front suspension.

Functionally the knuckle arm serves as the steering pivot and wheel hub mount on the front suspension, so swapping the stock piece to an aluminum unit primarily affects steering feel, durability, and the way loads transfer through the suspension during hard cornering or jumps. Expect more consistent geometry under load compared with softer plastic parts.

Installation notes: confirm fit with your existing wheel hex, bearings and kingpin arrangement before final assembly, reuse factory fasteners where possible, and verify free steering and suspension travel after installation. As with any aftermarket alloy part, torque fasteners to appropriate levels to avoid thread damage while ensuring the knuckle sits without play.

Tuning role: this aluminum knuckle is useful when dialing in sharper steering response or when running more aggressive tire compounds and higher drivetrain loads. It is a straightforward upgrade for drivers wanting a firmer front-end for consistent turn-in and repeatable setup changes on 1/10 TAMIYA buggies.

Great stuff. Love the upgrades. Wish they did more though, love jazzing up my cars
It is made for the named models: Thunder Shot, Thunder Dragon, Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher, confirm chassis layout and kingpin type before fitting.
In most cases existing bearings and hardware can be reused, but check fitment and thread condition and replace parts if wear is evident.
Expect a firmer steering feel and more consistent geometry under load, useful for sharper turn-in and repeatable setup adjustments.
