This steering tie rod set is an aftermarket aluminium linkage produced for TAMIYA TT02 RC chassis, supplied as a 1 set upgrade by GPM. It is intended for RC-scale tuning and replacement where a more rigid steering link is preferred over stock plastic parts.
As a direct steering component, the tie rod affects toe settings and steering consistency. Replacing the plastic link with an alloy unit can reduce flex under load and provide a firmer feel during setup changes and on-track adjustments. Keep in mind this is an RC part only and not for full-size applications.
Installation fit requires matching the existing ball studs and thread pitch on the TT-02 steering assembly and servo saver. Basic installation uses standard tools and does not change servo or electronic setups, but you should inspect ball cups and tie rod ends for correct seating and free articulation after fitment.
Tuning notes: use the alloy rod to lock in toe angles more consistently when testing different suspension or drivetrain setups, and check for binding at full steering lock. Periodic inspection and light lubrication at pivot points will help maintain smooth motion without altering steering geometry.
