Silicone shock oil for RC dampers

This is a 30cc bottle of silicone shock oil formulated for RC-scale dampers, labeled with a 20000 viscosity rating. The product is intended as a tuning fluid for shock absorbers and damper cartridges on electric and nitro 1/10 scale models and similar RC applications. It is presented as a neutral, single-component silicone fluid suitable for adjusting compression and rebound behaviour within shock assemblies.

Installation and use follow standard shock maintenance steps: remove the shock from the chassis, disassemble the shock shaft and piston assembly, drain the existing oil, inspect seals and pistons for wear, then refill with the target oil volume and bleed trapped air before reassembly. Precise oil level, piston size, and shock length determine final behaviour, so record baseline fill volumes and settings when testing changes.

Tuning role: 20000cSt is a high-viscosity option used to increase damping force and slow rebound and compression compared with lower-viscosity oils. Changes in viscosity affect how quickly the shock returns and how the chassis responds over bumps; use incremental changes and test runs to evaluate real-world effects on handling. Avoid assuming identical results across different piston hole sizes or shock designs, as internal geometry strongly influences effective damping.

Handling and safety: keep the bottle capped when not in use, store away from heat and direct sunlight, avoid skin contact and prolonged inhalation of vapours, and keep out of reach of children. Clean spilled oil from shock bodies and components before seating seals to prevent leaks.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The number refers to viscosity grade commonly expressed as centistokes on silicone shock oils, with higher numbers indicating thicker fluid and stronger damping resistance.
Remove the shock from the car, disassemble the shaft and piston, drain old oil, inspect seals and pistons, refill to the recorded volume, bleed air by cycling the shaft, then reassemble and reinstall.
Mixing oils changes the overall viscosity and may alter damping in unpredictable ways, so if you mix, test on a single shock first and document results before applying to all four corners.
