This GPM aluminum hex adapter is produced as an aftermarket replacement for TRAXXAS Rustler VXL wheel hubs, aimed at reinforcing the wheel-to-axle interface and adjusting track width. The adapter body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for a balance of low weight and tensile strength, and the design increases the hex thickness by 2mm relative to the original part to shift the wheel mounting point outward.

Functionally the adapter sits between wheel and hub to secure the wheel on the front or rear axle and to improve lateral support during acceleration and cornering. The kit uses retaining pins to lock the adapter on the axle, keeping the wheel indexed to the drive shaft for consistent steering input and predictable handling.

Installation is straightforward: remove the wheel, fit the hex adapter onto the wheel hub, align the axle hole, and secure with the supplied pins.
