Aluminum shocks for Rustler VXL

This is an RC-scale shock upgrade supplied by GPM for TRAXXAS platforms, provided as a 44pcs set that replaces stock front and rear dampers with shorter, aluminum-bodied units designed for a lower center of gravity. The kit contains front and rear shocks, multiple spring lengths and collars, and mounting hardware to allow ride-height and damping tuning without modifying the chassis.

The shocks are adjustable by turning the top spring retainer screw or by swapping springs to change spring rate. Two spring wire thicknesses are provided in the kit: the thicker gold springs at 2.6mm wire and separate silver springs at 2.2mm wire, intended to increase stability and handling for higher-speed runs on flat surfaces. Measured assembled lengths are listed as front 75mm and rear 80mm, which lower the ride height and can bring the body as low as about 6mm from the ground in some setups.

When fitting to Slash platforms, note the lowered body position can cause the shell to contact the tyres; the kit includes aluminum collars to space the body posts from the shock mounts. Use different collar thicknesses to tune shock angle and clearance: with the body at its highest use front 8mm and rear 12mm collars, and at the lowest positions use front 12mm and rear 16mm collars as a reference.
