This GPM upgrade set replaces the stock gear interface on TRAXXAS SLASH 4X4 Low-CG models targeted at the 68086-21 version. The kit pairs an aluminium low‑CG gear adapter with hardened steel spur and motor gears to keep torque transfer consistent under load without changing the vehicle scale or drivetrain layout.

Design intent is straightforward: use an aluminium adapter to retain low center of gravity while fitting steel 32‑pitch gears to improve wear resistance and repeatable meshing. The set includes a 54T steel spur and a 17T steel motor gear, offering one defined gear ratio while keeping compatibility with the Slash 4X4 68086-21 version.

For tuning, note the included 54T spur produces the following driven ratios depending on motor pinion choice: 54T with 15T = 1:3.600, 54T with 16T = 1:3.375, 54T with 17T = 1:3.176, 54T with 18T = 1:3.000, 54T with 19T = 1:2.842, 54T with 20T = 1:2.700. The kit ships with the 17T motor gear which provides a balance between acceleration and top speed on typical Slash 4X4 setups.
