This kit provides a low-center-of-gravity aluminium gear adapter matched with hardened steel 32 pitch gears for the TRAXXAS Slash 4X4 Low-CG platform. The combination of an aluminium adapter and steel spur plus motor gear is intended to stabilize power transfer in the drivetrain while keeping the pinion and spur interface durable under typical hobby use.

Key installation notes: the adapter replaces the factory plastic adapter on the 68086-21 version, mounting the 56T spur gear precisely to maintain mesh and alignment with the motor pinion. Check mesh and shimming per your motor mount and pinion height before running, and verify clearance to the chassis to preserve the Low-CG layout.

Tuning role: selecting a specific motor pinion changes the final drive ratio and vehicle response. The included 56T spur and 17T motor gear produce a defined ratio option, and the hardened-steel gears resist wear when experimenting with different pinions for track or bashing setups.
