Center gear box bottom protector

This aluminum center gear box bottom protector is a scale RC accessory designed for the TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler platform, sold as a 2pcs set. It is formed from lightweight aluminum to reduce added mass while providing a flat, protective surface under the center gearbox to reduce intrusion of sand and small rocks and to distribute impacts away from the gearbox housing.

The part includes a single stainless steel flat head screw 3x14 used during fitment. The protector's face features positioning holes aligned with the upper main shaft screw locations so the main shaft can be installed or removed without taking off the protector, simplifying maintenance and reducing teardown time at the trail.

Surface finish is a durable, scratch-resistant coating intended to resist normal trail abrasion; maintain by rinsing off grit after runs and inspect mounting threads before each session. The mount serves a protective role rather than altering gearing or drivetrain tuning, and it is intended for scale off-road crawling use only.

Parts are very nice. Fit very well. Easy to install. But screws are sometimes to short. And piece was not drilled and tapped deep enough. But overall excellent workmanship. Your shipping leaves a lot to be desired. And it seems tha you got a little confus

Is this protector compatible with stock TRX4 gearing and gearbox?

It is made for the TRX4 Trail Crawler center gearbox area and mounts without modifying stock gearbox geometry.

Does installation require removing the main shaft?

No, the protector has positioning holes that allow access for the upper main shaft screws so you can fit the shaft without removing the plate.

What hardware is supplied with the mount?

The product includes one stainless steel flat head screw 3x14 for mounting; additional factory screws are used for attachment as required.
